چکیده

Objective: Infertility is a global health issue among couples of reproductive age. Intrauterine insemination (IUI) fertility treatment method where the processed sperms are deposited in female uterus during time ovulation. The aim this study was to explore factors predicting success rate IUI (IUI-SR). Materials and Methods: A descriptive retrospective conducted analysing SFA corresponding reports who underwent from January 2017 August 2021 at Professorial unit Colombo South Teaching Hospital, Sri Lanka. data were analysed using SPSS version 22.0. Results: total 140 used. IUI-SR 18.57% (n=26). significantly high noted when partner aged <30 years compared >30 (p=0.000, OR=1.87), with first two attempts multiple (p=0.017, OR=0.271), pre-processed sperm concentration >30M/ml <30M/ml (p=0.019, OR=3.12), motility (progressive non-progressive)>40% <40% {p=0.039, OR=5.31). period abstinence (p-value=0.222), parameters such as count (p-value=0.093), normal form morphology (p-value=0.082), viability or post-processed concentration, progressive did not influence IUI-SR. Conclusion: can be achieved attempts. Pre-processed >30M/ml, >32% non-progressive <15% also predict higher IUI.
